Project background
The customer exports GIS products to European and Southeast Asian markets. Gas tank production has many steps and high assembly precision requirements. The original production method was scattered, and the connection between box flipping, bushing assembly and busbar installation was poor, affecting delivery time and quality consistency. The customer wanted a standardized flow from gas tank manufacturing to final assembly.
Solution design
We planned a GIS gas tank production line with a box flipping mechanism, making bushing and insulator assembly and internal treatment convenient. The bushing and insulator assembly station was equipped with dedicated locating tooling to ensure installation precision. The busbar and main conductor installation station followed standard procedures with controlled connection torque. The final assembly flow was organized by cycle, combining the gas tank with mechanisms, contacts and other parts, followed by sealing and function checks.
Project results
The coherent production system reduced waiting and transfer between processes and shortened delivery time. Assembly precision and consistency improved, and export product quality was stable. The customer reported a clearer production process, more convenient quality traceability and good feedback from overseas customer factory audits.
Case insight
