Ice makers, oxygen generators and medical air compressors are electromechanical products with pressure or refrigeration systems. Their assembly involves pipe connection, leak testing and complete machine function verification. Taizhou Yufeng Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. planned assembly lines for related manufacturers, organizing assembly, inspection and testing into a standardized process.

Station planning of the assembly line

According to the product structure, the line can be divided into a pre-treatment station, a main body assembly station, a pipe and electrical connection station, a leak and pressure test station, a complete machine test station and a packing station. The pre-treatment station completes parts cleaning and pre-assembly. The main body assembly station completes installation of core parts such as the compressor, condenser, evaporator or oxygen chamber. Stations are connected by roller conveyors and products flow at a fixed cycle.

Leak and pressure testing

These products contain refrigeration systems or gas circuits, so leak testing is a quality control focus. The test station performs pressure hold tests according to product standards, records pressure changes and judges pass or fail automatically. For medical products, sealing requirements are higher, and test standards and thresholds follow medical device regulations. Test data is bound to the product number to form a quality file.

Complete machine testing and function verification

The complete machine test station verifies startup, operation, and cooling or gas generation effect. Test equipment is configured according to product type, such as temperature recording, pressure monitoring and running current detection. Qualified products enter the packing station, and test data is uploaded automatically for traceability and statistics.

Cycle and capacity design

The assembly cycle is determined by product complexity and test time. For standardized products like ice makers, the cycle can be controlled at 8 to 15 minutes. Medical air compressors have a longer cycle because of more test items. When planning capacity, consider the number of test stations to prevent testing from becoming a bottleneck.

Cleanliness and safety requirements

Medical product assembly has cleanliness requirements. The assembly area needs dust and humidity control, and operators follow hygiene regulations. Leak testing involves pressure operations, so the station is equipped with safety guards. The line design follows the requirements of the medical device quality management system to ensure the assembly process complies with regulations.
