Pole mounted switches are installed on overhead lines of the distribution network and exposed to outdoor environments for a long time. They place high demands on sealing, insulation and mechanical reliability. Taizhou Yufeng Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. planned a pole mounted switch production line for outdoor distribution equipment manufacturers, organizing insulation part assembly, mechanism mounting, conductive circuit assembly and complete machine testing into a standardized process.

Insulation and sealing control

Pole mounted switches use epoxy resin or silicone rubber insulation, and some products use sealed gas insulation. The insulation part assembly area requires a clean environment. Insulation part surfaces are cleaned before assembly to avoid contamination and moisture. Products with sealed structures require leak testing after assembly to verify the leakage rate. We recommend a separate insulation part handling area and a sealing test station on the assembly line.

Assembly station division

The line is divided into insulation part handling, mechanism mounting, conductive circuit assembly, wiring and sealing, complete machine commissioning and factory testing stations. The mechanism mounting station completes the work on dedicated fixtures to ensure three-phase action consistency. The conductive circuit assembly uses torque wrenches and applies conductive paste to standard, and loop resistance is measured after connection. The wiring station completes the auxiliary circuit and indicating device connections.

Complete machine test items

Pole mounted switch factory testing includes mechanical characteristic testing, withstand voltage testing, loop resistance measurement, insulation resistance testing and sealing testing. Outdoor products also require a certain number of mechanical operation tests to verify long-term action reliability. Test data is bound to the product number, judged automatically and a factory report is generated.

Line cycle and capacity

Pole mounted switch specifications are relatively concentrated, making them suitable for station-based batch production. In a typical configuration, the assembly line cycle is about 10 to 20 minutes per unit, and daily output is about 20 to 50 units, depending on product specifications and test items. The line uses roller conveying with buffer connections between stations to reduce waiting.

Value to customers

A standardized flow line frees pole mounted switch production from reliance on manual experience, with stable quality and on-time delivery. For distribution equipment companies entering overseas markets, a standardized assembly process and complete factory reports are important conditions for winning orders.
