Overall design of the leak test station
The leak test station integrates evacuation and helium filling, vacuum chamber leak testing, helium recovery and automatic judgment in a closed vacuum chamber structure. Operators only need to clamp the tank and start the process. The station is equipped with safety guarding and emergency stop devices, and pneumatic fixtures fix the tank quickly. The station control system calls the parameter recipe automatically according to the tank type, reducing manual setting.
Quality control for batch production
For batch production, we include helium leak testing as a quality control point in the line. Test data is uploaded in real time and bound to the tank number. Quality staff can review the leakage rate distribution, pass rate and rework situation by batch, and detect process fluctuations promptly. For non-conforming tanks, the system records the leak location and rate. After rework, the tank is retested until it passes.
Improving test efficiency
To improve efficiency, a dual-station or four-station leak test system can be used. While one tank is being tested, another tank is loaded, unloaded and evacuated, making full use of the test time. The helium recovery device recovers helium after testing for reuse, reducing operating cost. The leak test cycle matches the assembly cycle to prevent the test from becoming a bottleneck.
Special requirements of eco gas cabinets
The sealing requirement of eco gas cabinets is usually stricter than conventional gas insulated cabinets. The leak test station sets a stricter leakage rate standard for eco cabinets and supports test recipes for different gas types. For eco cabinets that run for a long time, more thorough leak testing before shipment is recommended.
Data and traceability
Leak test data is linked with the tank number, operator, shift and date, forming a complete quality traceability chain. During customer factory audits, the leak test records can be displayed directly to prove sealing quality control capability. Data reports can be exported for customer communication and internal improvement.
